The 2016 National Sports Convention (NSC) was a dedicated sport and recreation management conference and exhibition, focusing on how to encourage more people to play, recreate and participate in sport and what facilities, solutions and infrastructure are needed to activate and retain them.

Expanded from the former National Sports Surface Convention and Expo (NSSCE) and Power of Sport event, the NSC’s concept and content was been developed with key industry peak bodies and collaborators and will include a number of two day conferences; single day symposiums and masterclasses.

The NSC was held at Sydney’s Rosehill Race Course for two days – 23rd and 24th June 2016.

The NSC Conference covered:

• Sports Turf
• Playgrounds and Equipment
• Growing Participation
• Aquatic, Recreation and Sport facilities

The NSC 2016 saw its first Podcast studio with the placement of Play Hard Sports Equipment (PHS) Behind the Games Podcast.

Behind the Games Podcast is a motivational podcast with athletes, brands, and sports business – who all share their ‘Power Stories’ to success in the business of sports. Capturing true and inspiring stories of individuals and businesses that make up the amazing sports ecosystem in Australia.

The Podcast promotes shared experiences and values through the lens of sport. Covering sports field engineers and constructions, latest sporting equipment and athlete lifestyles in pursuit to be the best on and off the field of play.

The podcast allows listeners who are aspiring to get their careers to that level a chance to look inside that window for half an hour; a window that they would otherwise never see, never experience.
